Our departments

Six departments make up the business. Each page shows the purpose, the people, the measures that matter and the systems the team works in.

Fabrication and Welding

Cuts, folds, machines and welds the steel and aluminium sections that become chassis rails, subframes, trailer frames, body frames and brackets. The shop runs plasma and laser cutting, guillotines, press brakes, jigs and fixtures, and gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc and manual metal arc welding bays.

Chassis and Frame Assembly

Builds up frames and chassis into rolling assemblies by fitting axle groups, suspension, brake and air kits, hydraulic kits, landing legs, couplings and mechanical units. The team works from engineering drawings and torque specifications and tests every hydraulic and pneumatic system before the build moves to fit-out.

Body Build and Fit-out

Builds body panels, floors, doors and roofs onto frames, bonds and repairs fibreglass components, installs glass, trim, seating, lighting and electrical systems, and fits mechanical units such as tailgate loaders and refrigeration units. The line is the longest stage of every build and runs a second shift in peak periods.

Quality and Compliance

Owns the quality management system, drawing control, calibration, inspection and test plans, non-conformance management and the compliance file for every vehicle. Inspectors check builds at each stage gate, conduct final inspection and pre-delivery checks, and confirm each vehicle meets the Australian Design Rules and modification code before a compliance plate is fitted.

Production Planning and Support

Schedules builds across the three sites, raises and releases work orders, runs the stores and purchasing function, maintains plant and equipment, and provides safety, training and people services to the workforce. The team chairs the daily production meeting and leads continuous improvement projects.
